CanJam 2023: From SoCal to Singapore

Our aim at CanJam is to provide a relaxed and comfortable environment, where people can learn more about our products and technologies and meet some of the dCS team. For us, taking part is a great chance to hear from knowledgeable music lovers and audiophiles, and meet with innovative manufacturers who share our passion for creating high-quality products. Speaking with so many headfi enthusiasts and hearing what excites them about audio never fails to inspire us, and we’ve had a fantastic time meeting so many of you this year.

CanJam New York

Our first stop on the CanJam 2023 circuit, CanJam New York proved an incredible start to the year. This busy show draws audio fans from all over the world and the ballrooms and individual spaces were packed with attendees and press from the moment doors opened. 

Our team were excited to be back in the swing of CanJam following a New Year break, reuniting with our friends and partners, and once again delighting in conversations with visitors.  

Joining the team in the Lina Lounge was Drew Baird of Moon Audio, who was able to give his unique perspective on the dCS Lina components in his position as an official Lina retailer and an expert on all things headfi. His enthusiasm, as always, was infectious…

CanJam Singapore

CanJam Singapore draws a host of dedicated attendees from across Asia and the world. This year’s event was held at the beautiful Pan Pacific Hotel close to the Singapore River. 

We were joined by our friends & partners at Zeppelin & Co. A wonderful and knowledgeable team, Zeppelin have first-hand experience demo-ing Lina alongside a wide array of the world’s top headphones in their local store in Sim Lim square.  

Zeppelin’s store is Singapore’s first audio café: a one-of-a-kind place to relax and discuss audio with like-minded fans, or simply to spend time with your music and exceptional fresh-brewed coffee. If you’re ever in Singapore, it’s an unmissable local hotspot, as our team can attest…

CanJam Chicago

CanJam Chicago was the first show of the year to feature the dCS Rossini, which made its debut in the dCS lounge.

Running Rossini APEX alongside the dCS Lina Amplifier & Master Clock, we invited attendees to spend time switching between a full Lina system, Bartók APEX and Rossini APEX DAC, and switching on and off the Lina Master Clock.

Bringing an additional dCS product to the Lina Lounge opened up conversations on dCS’s history, our current range and our commitment to upgrading products throughout their lifespan. Rossini made a big impression on visitors, and we promised to bring it back for future events.

CanJam London

CanJam London is our local show, taking place in the UK capital just an hour from the dCS factory. We were delighted to catch up with our friends and partners at this fantastic show and share some local recommendations, repaying the favour for all those who gave us great travel tips on our previous visits.

Held at the stunning Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, CanJam London is a draw for many European audio fans. 

Our Head of Operations, Ross Bowman, spent time with attendees in the Lina Lounge, talking through the intricacies of Lina’s design from his perspective as a key member of the design and development team. CanJam London visitors were also able to experience the Lina Network DAC alongside the HE1 in Sennheiser’s listening space.

CanJam SoCal

The most booked show in CanJam’s history, CanJam SoCal was an energetic and lively show, with established and up-and-coming brands sharing an array of new releases.  

Bloggers and content creators throughout the floor asked questions of the excited crowd, busily making their way from room to room and enjoying the many interactive product demos and educational seminars on offer.

The Lina Lounge was constantly bustling: one of our highlights was a visit from Brian Lucey of Magic Garden Mastering, who spent time discussing the technology on offer at the show and his dCS experience with visitors in the room. 

Whilst in California, we also visited Brian’s studio with our friends at Audeze, to find out more about his career, his workflow and his experiences of using the dCS Bartók. You can watch Part 1 of the series here, & Part 2 here. The third instalment will be released on Friday 22nd of December.

CanJam Dallas

CanJam headed to Dallas, Texas for the first time this year, giving the opportunity for many first-time attendees to visit. Having so many newcomers meeting and discussing their favourite gear with CanJam regulars gave the show a unique and exciting atmosphere. Our highlights visiting the Lone Star State included experiencing the inimitable Texan food & hospitality (including some of the finest breakfasts we’ve ever experienced!), as well as introducing the wonderfully passionate crowd of audio enthusiasts to Lina 2.0.

We were joined at the show by our Texas retailer partners Audio Concepts. Their contribution was invaluable, both at the show and in navigating bustling Dallas after hours!

It’s been a real pleasure experiencing each CanJam this year, and we hope that everyone who visited the Lina Lounge had a wonderful time. Thanks to everyone who stopped by!
