The Absolute Sound’s Technology & Innovation Awards celebrates “the greatest technologies and innovators in high-end audio”.  

dCS was recognised with two awards this year: our Engineering Team and Managing Director David Steven were named 'Innovator of the Year', in recognition of their efforts to develop and launch the Varèse Music System and its supporting technologies.

Varèse was also named 'Technology of the Year', with The Absolute Sound’s Robert Harley describing it as "an amazingly sophisticated product that advances digital audio playback".

The awards issue, out now, features an article on dCS Varèse and a Q&A with David Steven, in which he discusses his introduction to high-end audio, developing Varèse and dCS's evolution from the 1980s to the present day.
